FAITHFULNESS

J.W. Waterhouse by Anthony Hobson
P.47 Picture Circe Offering the Cup to Ulysses

An ancient tale, one that we can bring to modern times. Offering a cup may be symbolic of offering oneself. To offer one-self implies dedication of the self to that person. No one is going to say that a relationship must be forever, but be clear about who and what you want and stay faithful to that idea. It is easy to waver off the path when we lose sight of our goals. It shows the importance of centring oneself in life so that our feet are on the ground, even while our heads are in the clouds. We should lift ourselves up, but we need to keep a clear vision of where we are going and what we are about. Having got our idea, we then take it and run with it staying faithful to the original vision. Should we find that this no longer serves our purposes, then the vision should be amended and a new one [found] to replace [it].

This section is about being aware of who you are and what you wish to achieve. Do you know? Have you a grand vision? Where would you like to be? Does it seem too difficult to achieve? Could the vision be achieved in small increments?

[I finished at this point as the flow was not easy. However, I feel the points made are valid, so have given the incomplete piece. I have also added the two words in [ ] to make sense of the sentence.]
