The way that my inspirational writing happens is similar in most cases. It is almost as if the Other Side hijacks me when I’m busy doing some humdrum job and gives me the feeling that I’m to write. I stop what I’m doing and go straight to my book case. I close my eyes and turn my head to wherever I feel drawn to and on opening them choose the first book I see. I take this down and open it anywhere and the first words I see are the ones I use.

For some reason unknown to me, I feel compelled to write down the name of the book, author, page number and the quote. Having written the quote from the book I just carry on writing down the flow of thoughts. Sometimes the words come so fast that I can barely write it down in time, a little like taking a dictation that is going too fast. Everything written for this website takes only the time needed to write the words, except the parts I have written, which take substantially longer while I try to decide what to write and the best wording. Inspirational writing is much easier!

It is completely different from composing a letter or essay oneself. I do not meditate or ‘get into the zone’ beforehand and I have no idea what I’m going to write about until it’s going down on the page.

My guide, Authelia, will give advice if asked a question and all the answers that she has supplied to friends and acquaintances have been well received. Anytime I have a question, I can ask her advice. I have to say that I don’t always like what I hear, but the advice is always sound and loving. To me it seems an unusual way to conduct my mediumship, but it seems to work so I’m not arguing with it!
